August 3, 2005 15:09 - Homemade facial treatment to rival any day spa.

Ever wanted to know how to do a homemade facial treatment just like a day spa?

I have just added two new pages that will show you how to do just that.

A homemade facial treatment that you can do simply and easily with all natural ingredients from your fridge and a facial massage technique that will have you glowing with radiant beauty.

Not only is a facial and a facial massage a beautiful way to take some time out it is also extremely beneficial to your skin. A deep cleansing facial such as this one should be done about once every 3 weeks.

Have a look for yourself. Try it and your skin will glow just like you spent hours and $$$ at the day spa.

Enjoy!

The new pages can be found at;

Until next time,

Be safe and pamper yourself silly!!!

August 17, 2005 14:23 - Quick Spa Treats

I recently wrote this article for my Bliss Angels Ezine

I thought I'd pop it on the spa blog as well. Enjoy!

Doesn't time just fly by?

Inspired by my own hectic life I thought I would share a few simple things that can be done on the spur of the moment, in the minimum of time but with maximum effect.

Feeling rushed/lost/depressed tap into the powerful wisdom of your heart. Place both hands, one on top of the other, over your heart. Don't think, just feel the emotions that rise up. Breathe gently into your heart. Do this for 5 - 10 minutes. This is very healing.

Feeling tired/too long on the computer/sore eyes Rub your hands vigorously together for 30 seconds to one minute, then with your elbows on the desk or table, rest your face in your hands with your palms cupping your eyes. Breathe slowly and deeply for 3 minutes. Feel the tingling from the energy you created.

Tired/Anxious Pour a hot cup of water with a slice of lemon. Sit quietly and sip slowly. This is a wonderful way to start the day and will kick start your metabolism.

Need a natural buzz Make a green juice, any combination of dark green leafy vegetables and cucumber. Add a squeeze of lemon. Take it outside, take your shoes off and walk on the grass. Other than yummy? Think about the health and vitality you are bringing to your body. Every cell will thank you and you will be buzzing!

Sore back/Tired/Foggy head Assume a yoga hand raising pose (Hasta Utthanasana) You will increase circulation and give your whole body, especially your brain, an extra supply of oxygen.

Stand up straight, feet together, arms by your side. Balance your weight evenly on both feet and relax the whole body. Cross your hands in front of your body. Keeping your hands crossed, inhale deeply and raise arms slowly above your head. Move with your breath. At the same time bend your head back slightly and look up at your hands. Exhale and spread your arms out to the sides so that they make a straight line at shoulder level. Inhale and reverse the movement, re-crossing your arms above your head. Exhale and lower your arms straight down in front of your body back to the starting position. Repeat 5 times.

Nails looking ragged Give them a quick once over with a file then apply almond oil to your cuticles. Massage the oil in while gently pushing back the cuticles. Apply a hand cream.

Complexion looking drab Papaya (paw paw) skin scrub. Papaya is rich in papain which actually dissolves dead skin cells. Mash 2 teaspoons of papaya (paw paw) and mix in 1 teaspoon of semolina. Massage over a cleansed face and rinse off with warm water.

Bad hair week Do what Asian girls do for super shiny locks just add egg! 2 egg yolks, 3 teaspoons of honey and 3 teaspoons of olive oil. Mix together and apply to damp hair. Leave on for 20 minutes. Shampoo as normal.

Wishing you lots of "me" time!

Kellie

P.S. I have just added a new area to the site called the "Treatment Room" I am so excited about all of the homemade spa treatment ideas running through my head. Hop on over and take a look.
