Spa Living for Health’s Warm Oil Massage
What you will need
¼ cup of a cold pressed vegetable oil
Good choices are; sweet almond (medium), sesame (heavy), olive oil (heavy).
Plastic or glass bottle or jar with a lid to hold oil to be warmed
Pot of very warm water
Old towel to stand on
Paper towel
Method
Place your oil into the bottle or jar and replace lid. Place it into the pot of water. Leave it until it is comfortably warm (about 3 - 5 minutes).
Stand on your towel.
Smooth the oil all over your body using a small amount at a time.
Once you have covered your entire body with the oil, massage it into your skin. Use up and down strokes over your arms and legs, circular strokes over joints, stomach and chest.
Take about 10 minutes to show your body the attention it deserves. Wipe off excess oil with paper towel.
At this point you may wish to leave the oil on for your skin to fully absorb or you may prefer to take another shower.
